It is basically insolvable in water or a mmonia, yet solvable in strong acid and alkali.It’s mainly used for preparing tellurium dioxide single crystal, infrared devices, acousto-optic devices, infrared window materials, electronic component materials and preservatives.

    Application

    Tellurium dioxide is mainly used as acousto-optic deflection element.
    It also used in Preparation of II-VI compound semiconductors, thermal and electrical conversion elements, cooling elements, piezoelectric crystals and infrared detectors.
    Tellurium dioxide can be used as preservative and bacteria test in vaccine. It can also be used to test the bacteria in the vaccine and prepare tellurite. Emission spectrum analysis. Electronic component materials. preservative.
    It is also used in brightener in electroplating solution, coloring agent for ceramics and glass.
