    SELENIUM SULFIDE (se LEE nee um suhl fahyd) treats fungal or yeast infections of the skin. It may also be used to treat seborrheic dermatitis, a condition that causes dry, flaky, and itchy skin. It belongs to a group of medications called antifungals. It will not treat infections caused by bacteria or viruses.Selenium sulfide comes in a lotion and is usually applied as a shampoo.
